In his presentation titled, ‘Mobility and Governance – The secured way with BlackBerry’, Sunil Lalvani, Managing Director, BlackBerry India, talked about how mobility along with e-Governance is on a rise in the country.

Lalvani said that there is a need to secure communication, given the recent examples of governments across the globe being targeted by hackers.
He spoke about how BlackBerry can help secure mobile devices running a variety of mobile OS platforms.
He further talked about how the use of chat for communication with the government, could be secured with BlackBerry Messenger. He went on to give examples of different state departments across India that have implemented their applications in a secure and cost-effective manner using the BlackBerry platform.
