Raheel Khursheed, Head – News, Politics & Government, Twitter India, moderated the panel discussion on, ‘Transforming Governance through Social Media’, wherein he observed that social media today acts as a direct and two-way communication system.

He aptly explained this with an example that how a citizen would write a letter to the editor of a newspaper in the old times, and depending on the editor’s discretion it would get printed. Today, he directly engages with the editor by tweeting his opinion to the editor.
