Xchanging, the business process, procurement and technology services provider, has signed an additional four-year technology contract with existing customer, Gatwick Airport, the busiest single-runway airport in the world.

The contract, tendered by over 130 competitors, sees Xchanging deliver End User Compute Desktop Services to Gatwick Airport. Services include new desktop builds, system configuration and developing a printing service for Gatwick. Three additional members of staff have been recruited.
“We are very pleased to sign this contract with Xchanging and continue our strong working relationship. As one of the UK’s critical infrastructures, we need a partner who understands our technical requirements and can deliver these to the highest level in order to further position Gatwick as a world class airport,” said Michael Ibbitson, Chief Information Officer, Gatwick Airport.
“The new contract is testament to Xchanging’s efforts to drive innovation, efficiency and a continued desire to set the benchmark among the airport’s other suppliers. Customer service and enhancing the IT experience for Gatwick’s staff and passengers are the priority for Xchanging.
