Uber today announced that it has expanded cash as a payment option in Bengaluru and Delhi. Riders in Bengaluru and Delhi will now have the option of paying by cash for their Uber rides other than using debit/credit cards and digital wallets like PayTM, Airtel Money.

Also, dynamic pricing/surge pricing will be disabled in both cities from 7 am to 9 pm. Riders need to choose the cash payment option, take a ride and pay their driver directly in cash at the end of the trip.

The cash payment will be rolling out gradually over the next few weeks. Uber has recently also enabled Cash in all its major and newly launched markets in Ahmedabad, , Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mysore, Nagpur, Nashik, Pune, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara, and Visakhapatnam.
