Net Neutrality: RCom comes out in support of Internet.org

Reliance Communications came all out in support of Facebook’s Internet.org, claiming that almost 80 million of non-data users of its total 115 million mobile subscribers, have participated and interacted via the free data application.

“A large number of mobile subscribers in India do not have access to data services. By offering them various educational and awareness site via the Internet.org platform, we are arming a large subscriber base with access online casino to internet and in a way helping the government meet its goal for digital inclusion,” said an RCom official.

Putting forward its point that Internet.org is not against net neutrality, RCom says all the 38 websites offered through Internet.org for RCom non-data subscribers are completely downsized, compressed, separate and specially developed website.

It has partial contents unlike the one which is available on the common usage network and does not have all interactive features.
