JCB uses Wipro’s cloud-based IoT platform to connect over 10,000 construction equipment machines

The Livelink system allows JCB to remotely monitor the real-time health and performance of JCB assets in the field. The predictive capability of the platform helps all stake holders to collaborate in ensuring operational availability of the asset whereby maximizing the value derived from it.

Wipro has  announced that it has achieved a significant milestone in its ongoing Internet of Things (IoT) deployment for JCB India Ltd, a leading construction equipment manufacturer. JCB’s Livelink telematics system has successfully connected over 10,000 construction equipment and machines, such as Backhoe Loaders, Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders, deployed for its customers across India.

The Livelink system allows JCB to remotely monitor the real-time health and performance of JCB assets in the field. The predictive capability of the platform helps all stake holders to collaborate in ensuring operational availability of the asset whereby maximizing the value derived from it. The geo-fencing feature prevents misuse and theft of assets, while allowing asset owners to enforce contract compliance. The stakeholders have already started to see the benefit of the solution.

The Livelink IoT solution has been designed and deployed on Wipro’s cloud-based Industrial asset platform. Wipro’s After Markets solution team, a part of the Manufacturing and Hi-tech SBU brought together a consortium of specialist partners to provide the turnkey solution and is responsible for ongoing deployment and support.
