The new features – rich portal provides a significant leap to SEBI towards achieving PM’s “Digital India” and “ease of doing business” initiative by providing an e-Platform to registered and prospective intermediaries to communicate in secure, simplified, transparent & paperless way with SEBI, enabled by a unique workflow based decision making implementation.
Market Regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has embarked on the Digital Journey to transform its processes and End User experience to serve its internal and external customers better. This journey, started with Tech Mahindra in 2015, is turning into reality with the first phase going live today. SEBI has gone live with its new Enterprise Portal. This new portal, which replaces the existing one in a phased manner, will enable accurate and timely information dissemination to internal and external stakeholders. SEBI started with development of its Portal solution as a digital transformation program to exploit the potential of automation, rationalize its application landscape and simplify its technology infrastructure. The first phase of the project provides SEBI employees and some of its market intermediaries with an interactive portal which improves customer centricity by supporting multiple channels and aligning with emerging digital trends. The project is being developed by Tech Mahindra and the implementation began in the month of December 2014.

The portal also provides refreshing UI experience and a secure role based access and navigation to its SEBI staff across various departments. The portal thus will enable significant collaborative and efficient communications between SEBI’s internal and external stakeholders alike.
Tarun Katyan (Vice President & Business Head – BFSI Tech Mahindra, India) said, “By going live with the first phase of this project, SEBI has shown its foresight in Digital era. Modern IT infrastructure and digital technologies are the new foundation for today’s organizations. By working closely with SEBI, we have implemented a scalable, next generation IT infrastructure that is designed to increase productivity, reduce operational costs and ultimately provide a better experience for its employees and intermediaries.”
