Reliance Communications expands application aware network service

Reliance Communications, announced the expansion of its Application Aware Network service to India, enabling Indian enterprises to upgrade to an intelligent network for increased business efficiency. The network will provide visibility and control of application performance across network and increase WAN capacity by using traffic optimization technologies

 “As large enterprises need to support a geographically dispersed workforce and a greater number of users and devices accessing applications across their network, the objective is to improve the user experience.” said Mr. Punit Garg, CEO, Global Enterprise Business, Reliance Communications.

 The Next Generation intelligent network delivers maximum WAN value, accelerated application performance, total network visibility and an effective solution for data centre consolidation.

 “With Reliance’s Application Aware Network, enterprises can enjoy improved employee productivity, insights into their WAN and application performance, and reduced IT costs,” he added.

In India, the network has been launched in partnership with Riverbed

“Over the past 18 months, Riverbed has witnessed substantial growth in the number of our clients who look to Service Providers to provide WAN optimisation and acceleration as part of a managed service, bundled with other network oriented services” said John Shoop, VP Global Service Providers and System Integrators, Riverbed.
