NI launches enterprise software solution for Industrial Internet Of Things

NI, a global systems provider for engineers and scientists has launched NI Insight CM Enterprise – a new software solution that helps companies gain insight into the health of their capital equipments for machine maintenance and operations.

The software was launched on the eve of NIDays 2014 in Bangalore.

NI InsightCM Enterprise software solution that addresses Big Analog Data challenges and builds on the industrial Internet of Things. As the Internet of Things (IoT) evolves to become more mainstream, NI is committed to closing the gap between vision and implementation.

Alex Davern, Chief Operating Officer, NI, said “With the tremendous amount of aging machinery in power  plants, steel mills and factories in India, the Industrial Internet of Things is a critical element that will ensure the uptime and optimization of these systems. ”

NIDays 2014 witnessed participation from NI customers and Alliance Partners across a range of industries including academics, health care, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, life sciences, robotics and telecommunication. The application of the year was awarded to the team from National Aerospace Laboratories for their application titled Drishti Transmissometer.

Key benefits of this software solution includes:

Cost-effective: Lowers the instrumentation cost for monitoring both critical and other plant equipment at a fleet-wide scale.

Open: Offers open software architecture to access data and gain interoperability with third-party enterprise software packages, such as CMMSs, database historians and prognostics tools.

Easily scalable: Scales from one to hundreds of nodes per NI InsightCM Enterprise server and replicates one solution at multiple facilities.

Flexible: Incorporates CompactRIO to adapt to changing sensory needs while maintaining the user’s investment in the platform.
