Evernote now has five million users in India and says India is now the fourth largest in terms of user acquisition

Evernote has announced today that it has reached five million users in India. Evernote had 1 million India users at the end of February 2013. According to Evernote, India is now the fifth largest market in terms of user base with the United States of America has over 25 million users. India is also in the top 4 countries for Evernote in terms of most user acquisition.

“The rate at which Evernote has grown in the last few years is a strong testament to Evernote’s fit with the Indian market. We are certain that the Indian market will continue to experience massive growth in the coming years and we look forward to listening to our Indian users for novel product ideas and inspirational use cases,” said Troy Malone, General Manager APAC, Evernote. Evernote started in 2008 with an ambition to redefine productivity within the workspace that syncs between all your devices. The cross-platform note-taking app initially started with ability to take notes and create checklists. Now the app has added features like work chat, ability to convert business cards into contacts and track expenses.
