Dax Networks, has completed the networking of customer service centers across South India for Kalyan Jewelers. Dax implemented a secured Wide Area Network (WAN) solution based on Virtual Private Network (VPN). Designed to help Kalyan Jewelers reduce transaction time at every branch office and enable faster delivery of gold services, the solution was implemented in eighteen days.
Rajesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Kalyan Jewelers, said, “To provide cutting-edge services to our customers, we needed to launch a mission critical web-based application across all our centers. The 150 customer service centers had to be integrated to the head office. Security was a key priority. Dax Networks has provided us a smart and optimum solution, in record time, to meet our requirements.”
Kalyan Jewelers recently launched 150 customer service centers across South India. Through a centralized customer support system, it wanted to link all its customer service centers and implement an online application to offer services like gold insurance, old gold exchange, advance booking of gold to and various other gold schemes to customers at every center.
Kalyan Jewelers required a cost-effective networking solution both in terms of CAPEX and OPEX. Dax Networks offered a secured WAN solution based on VPN, addressing possible failure points along with automatic load balancing and failover of both the Internet and VPN tunnels. Dax positioned its DX-8500E router at the core and its DX-1821-iR router at the customer support center.
The second phase of the project will be rolled out in the forthcoming quarter.
